Community-based brain training transforms learning into a shared experience that energizes the whole group. With up to twenty participants, sessions stay lively yet personal—balancing mental challenge with genuine connection. Each conversation sparks curiosity, strengthens thinking skills, and reinforces the social bonds that keep communities vibrant and engaged.

the BrainBoosters Series

The BRAINBOOSTERS Program:

Think of BrainBoosters as a gym for your mind—only with laughter instead of treadmills. Each session blends science and play, designed for curious adults who want to stay sharp, confident, and connected.

The BrainBooster series is a structured, hands-on “workout” for your brain. It is designed for active, curious adults who want to be proactive about their cognitive health.

BrainBoosters is a customizable 4- to 16-week series of 1-hour cognitive training sessions.  It is not a passive lecture, but rather is a lively, social environment where all activities are done as a group. Participants find a supportive, fun atmosphere where laughter, new ideas and personal challenge are the primary goals.

All exercises are run as in supportive, collaborative groups of up to 20 people. Because there are no tests and no scoring the focus is on the process of thinking, not the pressure of a “right” answer.

Sessions are built from six core cognitive domains:

  • Memory: Techniques for information retrieval and organization.
  • Connection: Building links between language and ideas.
  • Focus: Exercises to improve sustained attention and filter distractions.
  • Concrete Application: Applying logic and sequencing to real-world problems.
  • Abstract Thinking: Identifying patterns, using metaphors, and creative reasoning.
  • Novel Learning: Introducing new, obscure topics to spark curiosity and build new neural pathways.

Peek Inside a BrainBooster Session

  • Reinforcement: An optional take-home exercise is provided to reinforce the session’s concept.
  • Warm-up: Each session starts with a lively, group-based activity to set a focused, collaborative tone.
  • Themed Execises: The facilitator introduces the session’s topic and guides the group through 4-6 related activities.
  • Group Dynamics: Participants work together, building on each other’s ideas or working as a team to find a solution.
  • Adaptive Challenge: Our facilitators observe the group’s progress and adjust the difficulty of the exercises in real-time.
